Amanda

Amanda contracted Covid-19 the first time she left her house - the day she went to the hospital to say good-bye to her father, who had contracted the virus. Her father’s battle was confusing, having moments of hope and plans for after-care and then taking a sudden turn for the worse. When Amanda fell ill several days after that visit, she experienced extreme fatigue that made her sleep 19 hours a day and anxiety that left her terrified of what the virus could do. Working for a hospital during this time, Amanda feels she cannot escape the trauma caused by the pandemic. Her recovery has been slow, and she has some strange residual effects.
